Thank you for
donating to our Spring Appeal Fundraiser
As you know, we
received a matching pledge of $50,000 received from Martin, Harding
and Mazotti law firm, Liza’s Legacy Foundation, the Sidney and
Beatrice Albert Foundation and the Sherry and Barry Gold Donor Advised
Fund of the Community Foundation, doubling the donations we receive
for 2007. We wanted to acknowledge those who contributed to this Spring
Appeal and again thank those who helped us during the Winter Appeal.
These funds are so important in providing us with unrestricted support
for our domestic violence program, which otherwise is funded primarily
from grants. We greatly appreciate your generosity and the wonderful
support we receive from this community!

Please Join us at
the Track in Saratoga!
You can print off this
flyer to sign up to join your friends
and colleagues at CDWBA, the Adirondack Women’s Bar Association
and The Legal Project for a day at the Carousel Restaurant at the Track
on Thursday, July 26th, the first week of the season! For a ticket price
of $65 you get to hang out for the day at a table at the Carousel, enjoy
a delectable buffet lunch, and admission to the Clubhouse. As an added
bonus, there will be a race named for The Legal Project! So plan to spend
the day relaxing and hopefully making some successful bets and having
fun with friends at the Track! Email Lisa at lfrisch@legalproject.org
if you have any questions or want to reserve a ticket, as space is limited.
Win a Luxury Car or Other Wonderful Prizes
Keeler Motor Car is
generously donating a two year lease on a Mercedes CLK Cabriolet
Convertible or a BMW 328 xi or $10,000
Cash as the Grand Prize in a Raffle to support the Domestic Violence
Legal Connection at The Legal Project! Imagine yourself driving down the
road in one of these babies! Or using the cash to take a much needed vacation!
The 1st Prize is also fabulous—a 50 inch flatscreen Plasmavision
TV donated by SymmetryAV! And there’s a second prize—a
wonderful $500 gift certificate from Stuyvesant Plaza
just in time for holiday shopping! Only 500 tickets will be sold, so your
odds are way better than all those lottery tickets you buy when you are
getting a quart of milk at the store. The drawing will be held at our
12th Annual Pro Bono Reception at the NYS Terrace Gallery on October
25, 2007, so though you don’t have to be present to win,
think how much fun it would be to be there when your name is read by Lydia
Kulbida from Channel 13, who will be pulling the names for the
drawing! The cars will be on display at Stuyvesant Plaza in front of Jean
Paul and Coconuts from August 15 through October 15th, and tickets can
be purchased at The Legal Project, through members of the CDWBA Board
or right at Stuyvesant Plaza at the new Information Kiosk. Tickets
are only $100 each and support a great cause!! Please contact
Lisa for more information at lfrisch@legalproject.org
or 435-1988.
